I found a picture my little brother and I took back in Houston during Memorial Day.  I got to say, I really miss that guy.  I hope he's doing well in school, and he's being a good kid in class.

Today I found out that Oracle is buying out Siebel and that most of Siebel's employees will lose their job.  It won't all finish till next year though so what do all those people do until then.  It must be cruise control over there.  That'd be pretty sweet getting paid several months with no obligations.  They might even get severence packages after it happens too.

I turned 27 the other day.  Crazy, that's ridiculously old!  My only consolation is that even though I go around complaining and whining about how old I am, I honesly don't feel much different.  At what age do people really believe that they're old?  Maybe for a cocky bastard like me that day will never come.

My coworkers have noticed that my lunch has grown bigger and bigger.  The other day, one of them made a comment about how that was a lot of food.  I said, "yeah, my girlfriend's trying to fatten me up."  As mundanely as I can say that, I always get the same absurd looks.  It bring's me back to a question I've had for some time.  How did all of my good friends in college just happen to eat a lot?  It's a complete coincidence, but it's pretty amazing if I think about it, and you got to see us in action to know what I mean.

I met Yin this same day 7 months ago.  That day was the first time in like 7 years I tried to have an actual conversation speaking Chinese.  Needless to say, it was a battle.  Yin thought I had a speech impediment, haha.  It's crazy how time flies.  I can't imagine what it's like without someone beating me up when I get home anymore.  Nah, she's been cooking dinner almost everyday on the weekdays.  It's so nice to come home and be able to eat.  She's getting better and better at cooking too!  Thanks sweetie.

I was at a Target in Portland, OR today, and I asked the cash register whether to take 205 north or south to get to 84.  She said she didn't know, but she kindly asked someone else.

So, I ask my question again, "how, do I get to 84, do I go north or south on 205?"

She answers very decisivey, "West!"

Oh oh, all I can think of doing is saying, "ok thanks."  Then, this other girl says, "just go that way," and she points to some random direction.  Hahaha, alright, thanks again.  This other guy there says, we're southeast and downtown is southwest so you should go West.  Hahaha, dang man, what's going on in Portland.

Btw, if you ever go to Portland, don't eat any Chinese food.  It's really bad, and it's expensive too.

Other than being deathly ill during the trip and driving back in -thick can't see anything rain-, it was a fun trip.  Thanks for the shirt, honey!  She was passed out the whole way back.  She woke up when we were blocks from home and said, "driving back is faster than driving there."  Oh oh, maybe she picked up too much from those Portland people.

Don't you find it a bit funny that Nori almost failed high school?  I had a hard time seeing that happen especially since he's enthusiastic about learning, but I think I've figured it out.  I'm reading this book written by a Japanese author.  The main character is this Japanese student who's failing college, but he still gets tons of girls.  Happy was mentioning something about anime characters not being able to pass high school but still getting all the girls too.   Haha, look at Nori's under the influence.
